  Was invited to attend a free class for my children. Went in to take the class. Was warmly greeted by the class instructor. However, there was a gentleman claiming to be the manager, not warm or friendly. They prepared my children for the class by wrapping their hands, provided gloves then gave basic instructions on how the class would unfold. As I was observing my children, whom were having a great time with the instructor. About two thirds of the way through the "free" class, the manager approached me and rudely said "I need $24". I stated that I was under the impression that the class was free. He then stated that the wraps used for my kids were $8 each. I let him know that it would have been nice to hear of the "cost" of a "free" class prior to wrapping my kids hands. I also let him know I would have passed on the wraps. After paying, I asked to speak to the manager, he said that he was him. After leaving, several days later, I decided to call to speak with the owner. She was. It available, however she did return my call promptly. I explained the situation. She was apologetic and stated that that's not the process and that policy was violated. She went on and on about the policy, attempting to explain several reasons why mistakes were made in dealing with my experience that evening. Ultimately, I asked if she would honor a refund. Briefly put (even though she went on and on about policy and how she needed to revisit it with her staff) she declined to refund the purchase. I thanked her for her time, wished her well and let her know I'd be in touch with the BBB. Definitely would recommend gathering every detail before taking the "free" offer.
